BoardConnect provides a service designed to support the boards of non-profit organisations in Australia.  It has worked particularly in the arts and cultural sector, the first ongoing governance support service available to the arts.

Initiated by Brisbane consultant firm, Positive Solutions, a successful pilot period was conducted in 2008-09, supported by Arts Queensland.  At the conclusion of the pilot, the Premier and Arts Minister announced a further two years’ funding support for BoardConnect from August 2009.  For more information about this announcement, click through to our End of pilot event section.

BoardConnect has developed a series of public programs and support services.  These include services such as the Confidential Help-line, Board Pulse and Board Diagnostic, as well as a range of resource material in the form of Fact Sheets.  

BoardConnect also offers Regional Residencies to support non-profit organisations outside the Brisbane metropolitan area, as well as events such as the Spring Symposium held in early November 2010.
